Gerry Hails From The Small Town Of Tempo In The Erne County.From an early age Gerry had a great fondness of music - at the age of only ten he learned to play Trumpet joining the Tempo Silver Marching Band.

But when Gerry turned the age of 13 the trumpet got its “final blow” and he picked up the guitar and taught himself.At the tender age of 16 he joined local country girl “Helen McCaffrey” And Her Band playing Rhythm Guitar. This was a great opportunity for the young 16 year old, After gaining experience Gerry decided to form his own Four-piece Band “Sparkle”, which travelled all over the north of Ireland also doing many Country Festivals.

Gerry Always had a great ear for sound in a band, A perfectionist in his own right. If someone hadn’t their sound right Gerry was sure to fix it.                                                                This led to Gerry going to another end of the music business as a Sound Engineer.                                                                                                                       Gerry wasn’t just any old “Sound-Man” he was rated as one of the best and that’s why some of the biggest artists in Ireland were crying out for the Fermanagh man to get behind their sound desk. That he did, working for the likes of Irelands Queen Of Country “Philomena Begley”, Eamon McCann, Finbar Harte, Shotgun and the brilliant “Indians”.

After all the years creating the big band sound he found it was time to do his own thing, take to the stage and entertain.
That’s just what he did in 2004 “Gerry Mac” took his one-man show to the road travelling the length and breadth of the country.
In Only this short space of time Gerry Had 2 Albums under his belt entitled “Requests” and his most recent “Sonny‘s Dream”

Gerry is now well established on the local circuit doing weddings, pubs, clubs etc with his great personality and humour he is one act people come to see again and again.
